A drummer and guitarist since early childhood, I have been fortunate to pursue a musical career rich in professional encounters that have shaped me as a performer and songwriter.

Training

As far back as I can remember, I've always had drumsticks or a guitar in my hands.

At the F. Poulenc Conservatory in Tours, I studied percussion with Jean-Baptiste Couturier and Renaud Détruit, where I learned the importance of high standards and discovered classical and contemporary music. At the same time, I studied rock and jazz drumming at the Dante Agostini school in Tours: with Laurent Dechenaud, I learned precision, solidarity, good humor at work, and the unifying spirit of "Dantesque" challenges.

Guylain Siopathis introduced me to the subtleties of African-American music, while Laurent Desvignes and Arnaud Gravet taught me about swing in big band orchestras.

The composition virus

During a trip to Quebec when I was 14, I caught the songwriting bug during a contest organized by guitarist Mathieu Tremblay. To my surprise, my first composition, performed with guitar and vocals, made it to the finals. (Thank you to the hundreds of Quebecers for their support and encouragement!) I haven't stopped writing songs since.

Meeting with my mentor

Working with the famous Englishgospel singer Wayne Ellington, I discovered that the greatest artists are also the most kind to others. Since then, he has done me the honor of guiding me artistically and professionally. I still have a lot to learn, but he has already passed on a treasure to me:humility is my pilgrim's staff on the steep paths of the profession.

Moments of sharing

I am eager to discover new musical and artistic encounters. Whether in studios or jamming in clubs in France, London, or Barcelona; performing with a big band on impressive stages; playing in a group in bars or solo on the street, I seize every moment to try to touch the hearts of those who honor me with their attention.
